Codes Calatrava

José María Codes Calatrava is a Doctor in Law, Corporate Counsel and graduate in Humanities, with a major in Philosophy. He entered the Cuerpo de Letrados de las Cortes Generales in 2007, at the age of 26.

In his professional career, he has been Counsel, among others, of the Justice and Labor Commissions of the Senate, where he was also Director of Institutional Relations and Director of Technical-Parliamentary Assistance. He has extensive international experience, having been assigned for four years in the International Relations Directorate of the Congress of Deputies.

Currently, he is an active lawyer in the Congress of Deputies.

Also, as a lawyer on leave of absence, he has been Director of Legal Counsel of one of the most important companies in the VTC sector, Grupo Auro, and currently combines his active service with his work as a lawyer and consultant in the private sector.

He has been a professor of Administrative Law at ICADE since 2010 and is a member faculty of ISDE, having also taught at Villanueva University.

He is a corresponding member of the Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation and has participated in numerous seminars and courses as a speaker, in addition to being the author of some twenty legal and literary publications.
